My work is focused on three primary disciplines: Photography, Graphic Design & Set Design. Alongside my tenure at The Glasgow School of Art I have been working in the creative industry in Scotland and London for the past three years. More recently however, in line with my degree, my focus has turned to photography.
I strive to create truthful, authentic and complex images that draw from personal experience and the world around me—past, present & future. Borrowing tropes from dense periods in culture & history, ultimately the aim is for my work to translate these aspects of experience and research into what I consider a beautiful image.
Regarding my process, I view collaboration as the core of my making: sharing, learning, sparking off one-another maintains my curiosity and drive, pushing me beyond my perceived limitations. I work with a blend of analogue and digital tools which then leads to an extensive post-production process.
